O goddess fair,
enthroned and seated high
Above my weary head
and earth-bound soul
To her ever tender
care, entrust I
My fears, regrets, and
secret heart be told.
Guard’ian of wisdom
generations past
As man with shaking
hands craft’d tools with fire
Remained in cultures,
love of her inspir’d.
Unearthly sphere, o
sweet serenity
Where rests her head,
ribbons of gentle light
Shine from her locks
to bless humanity
With a reprieve from
everlasting night:
Mistress so ghostly,
luminous, and fair
Light well my arduous path, render it bare.
